Simplicity Parenting by Kim John Payne

I have just returned from a weekend lecture and workshop at the Princeton Waldorf School with the incomparable Kim John Payne, author of Simplicity Parenting.

To say that his book (along with a few other important texts) changed my parenting philosophy is an understatement.  I actually experienced a complete paradigm shift, and this weekend confirmed my belief that the Simplicity Parenting movement can change families dramatically.

Gandhi urged, “Be the change you want to see in the world.”  Wise words to live by.  I believe that Kim Payne offers tools so that parents may be the change we all want to see in our homes.  It’s the move from macro to micro, but if we can do this, and do it with our hearts, then change will surely be effected on a grand scale as well.
